The Top 5 List
They argue about the order of a top 5 list. Liv thinks number one is obvious. So does Mila, just a different one. In the end, Liv knows Mila's number one was right after all. She just doesn't say so until the next day.

They argue about the order of a top 5 list. Liv thinks number one is obvious. So does Mila, just a different one. In the end, Liv knows Mila's number one was right after all. She just doesn't say so until the next day.
At night, during a sleepover, they talk about things they'd never say during the day. Liv listens without jumping straight to a solution. She can do that, even if you wouldn't guess it.
It rains all afternoon. Liv turns it into a plan. Mila turns it into a journal page. They both think it was a good day.
They agree that a day without a photo still happened. So Mila writes three sentences. Liv says, “Okay, but we have to save the moment with the totally crooked photo too!”
You only know the last warm day was the last one afterward. Mila notices first. Liv grabs the jackets. They go outside one more time anyway.
Mila makes a plan, Liv turns it upside down. Mila thinks things over for a long time, Liv is already at the door. They're both allowed to be annoyed about it. And they both know: whoever turned out to be right doesn't say so until the next day.
They talk to each other, not about each other. They're allowed to disagree. And when one of them doesn't need a big speech right now, the other one notices.
