The short version for grown-ups
What Mila & Liv is, who it's for, what format it comes in, and where to get it. This website is the world around it. It doesn't sell anything and doesn't collect any data.
Good to know: our memory books are written in German, and COZY AUTUMN is also available in Spanish. Coloring books and the English calendar wallpaper work for everyone.

Daria Helck writes because she sees gaps, and she fills them. The Mila & Liv books are made at FLITCH in Braunschweig: author Daria Helck, publisher FLITCH UG. The FLITCH family also includes the Wirtschaftsschweinchen books (economics for kids 10 and up) and ELSEWISE (for teens). All of these worlds share one attitude: take kids and teens seriously, and don't lecture them.

Questions from parents and gift-givers
What exactly is Mila & Liv?
A series of fill-in memory books for girls ages 10 to 14, written by Daria Helck and published by FLITCH UG in Braunschweig, Germany. Two friends, Mila and Liv, take the reader through the seasons. There are also printable journals, coloring books, and wallpapers.
Book or PDF?
SUNKISSED and COZY AUTUMN are printed paperbacks (6 × 9 in, 15.2 × 22.9 cm, full color throughout), available on Amazon. GOLDEN MOMENTS, the coloring books, and the calendar wallpaper are PDF downloads from the FLITCH shop, ready right after purchase and easy to use on a tablet, too.
Where do I buy them?
The books are on Amazon (links on every journal page), and the downloads are in the FLITCH shop on flitch.fun or in the FLITCHStudio shop on Etsy, at the same price. This website doesn't sell anything and has no shopping cart.
What age is it for?
Girls ages 10 to 14. Mila and Liv are 15, a little older than their readers, so they feel like older friends, not little kids. There are no body or beauty topics, no lecturing, and no pressure to perform.
What does this website collect?
Nothing. No cookies, no account, no forms, no comments, no ads. The few free pages here don't ask for an email address; Daria's downloadable pages are on flitch.fun. You'll find the details in the privacy policy.
Are Mila and Liv real girls?
No. Mila and Liv are made-up characters in a story world. They don't chat with readers and don't have their own social media accounts. Messages to us are answered by adults at FLITCH.
Can teachers use the free pages?
Yes, for their own class. Please don't pass them on to other teachers, upload them to resource collections, or copy them for a whole school.
What does FLITCH stand for?
FLITCH makes books and games that take kids seriously. Old values, rethought: reliability, respect, good manners, education, and growing as a person. Girls get to be girls and can still become anything. The characters show that through how they act, not through lectures.
